CPN-UML Chairman KP Oli has accused Nepali Congress (NC) and Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) led by Netra Bikram Chand of connving to disrupt the election three days before 32 districts go for voting in the first phase on Sunday.
Addressing a press conference organized at Ghorahi by the Federation of Nepalese Journalists (FNJ), Dang on Thursday, he claimed the two parties have even held a discussion to disrupt the election. “NC and Chand’s party held a joint meeting in Dolakha on Wednesday and have agreed to coordinate anti-election activities,” he added.
He also urged the cadres of left alliance to remain vigilant due to the conspiracy to disrupt elections. “NC is promoting anti-election activities instead of controlling them,” he accused. “What can one say about the government ministers and top officials putting pressure for release of those arrested with arms?”
He also claimed that the government trasnferred police officers who refused to comply violating the election code of conduct. “Police Chief of Province 5 AIG Mingmar Lama has been called back on Wednesday for refusing to comply,” he claimed. “There can be no greater act of corruption than this. The government should not do such things that can affect election.”
