Prime Minister Balen Shah has entered into performance agreements with his ministers for the key tasks and targets to be achieved during the current fiscal year.
The signing of the performance agreements and the exchange of copies of the agreements took place on Wednesday at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Singha Durbar.
The prime minister’s secretariat said that performance agreements related to good governance, social justice, and prosperity were signed with the ministers.
According to the secretariat, PM Shah signed performance agreements with Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle; Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal; Minister for Energy, Water Resources, and Irrigation Biraj Bhakta Shrestha; Home Minister Sudan Gurung; Minister for Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs Sobita Gautam; and Minister for Science, Technology, and Innovation Mahabir Pun.
Similarly, Minister for Women, Children, Gender and Sexual Minorities, and Social Security Sita Badi; Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives, Federal Affairs, and General Administration Pratibha Rawal; Minister for Health and Food Safety Nisha Mehta; Minister for Education and Sports Sasmit Pokharel; Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation Khadak Raj Paudel; Minister for Information and Communication Bikram Timilsina; Minister for Agriculture, Forests, and Environment Gita Chaudhary; and Minister for Industry, Commerce, and Supplies Gauri Kumari signed performance agreements with the prime minister.
The secretariat said that Infrastructure Development Minister Sunil Lamsal could not attend because he was unwell, while Minister for Youth, Labor, and Employment Ramji Yadav was unable to attend because he had to participate in the Parliament meeting.
Chief Secretary of the Government of Nepal Govinda Bahadur Karki also signed a performance agreement with PM Shah.
