Nain Singh Mahar, former central member of the Nepali Congress who has been running a “campaign to connect the country and the Congress,” has met with former party president and former prime minister Sher Bahadur Deuba.
During the meeting held on Sunday, Mahar emphasized that Deuba has an important role to play in ending internal conflict within the Nepali Congress and building a united party.
“I met former prime minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, who has returned after a long treatment, and inquired about his health. I was happy to learn that his health is good,” Mahar said. “His role is important in ending the conflict within the party and building a united Congress.”
Mahar also stressed the need for a meeting and dialogue between party President Gagan Thapa and Deuba.
“He said that he was taking the initiative to arrange a meeting and that they would move forward after the court’s decision,” Mahar said.
