The government has announced the names of consumers who won Rs 100,000 and a bumper prize of Rs 1 million in the second round of lottery under the taxpayer incentive program.
The Inland Revenue Department published the names of the winners based on coupon numbers selected at the Ministry of Finance on Monday.
According to the department, Tul Pudasaini of Bara won the Rs 1 million bumper prize.
After a 25 percent windfall-gains tax deduction, Pudasaini will receive Rs 750,000.
The department also published the names of 16 people who won the daily prize of Rs 133,000. After a 25 percent tax deduction, each winner will receive Rs 100,000.
The Rs 100,000 winners are Yogesh Bishwakarma of Saptari, Dinesh Tamang of Hetauda, Askrana Lama and Bhagawati Sapkota of Kathmandu, and Rahim Mahamad Hawari and Mahesh Kumar Paudel of Banke.
Similarly, Shiv Narayan Badahi Mistri, Kamal Tamang, Ramesh Kumar Kanu, Manish Gautam, Chakra Bahadur Shahi, and Rajendra Thapa of Kathmandu have won Rs 100,000 each.
Chudamani Danai of Rupandehi, Ghanashyam Tiwari of Surkhet, Rakesh Kumar Singh of Mahottari, and Bikash Gurung of Chitwan are also among the Rs 100,000 winners.
Among the bills selected for the prize draw, the lowest-value bill was worth Rs 200, while the highest-value bill was worth Rs 20,000.
