The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) is set to hold a demonstration in Kathmandu on December 9.
RPP spokesperson Mohan Shrestha said that a meeting of the central working committee held on Thursday decided to organize a demonstration on December 9.
According to him, the meeting decided to hold a large valley-wide demonstration in Kathmandu on December 9 “with the objective of exerting pressure for a new understanding between the king, political parties, and Gen Z.”
Shrestha also said that the party has decided to meet Prime Minister Sushila Karki to inform her of the RPP’s position regarding the country’s current situation.
The party has also decided to organize nationwide assemblies and demonstrations to convey its views to the general public.
A committee comprising spokespersons Gyanendra Shahi and Gopal Dahal, and deputy general secretaries Rabindra Pratap Shah and Dhan Bahadur Budha has been formed to manage the assemblies and demonstrations, Shrestha said.
Additionally, the RPP has formed a dialogue committee for unity, alliances, and cooperation with parties, campaigns, groups, and individuals sharing similar ideologies. The committee includes senior leader and Vice-chairman Buddhi Man Tamang, Bikram Pandey, and Dhruba Bahadur Pradhan.
