Nepali Congress (NC) President Gagan Thapa has stated that the country currently needs a stabilizing force. Addressing a gathering organized by NC Kaski on Friday, he emphasized that the party must play the role of a force that provides solutions with patience, rather than one that spreads provocation.
"Right now, we need a power that can handle and steady the country. Anyone can light a fire, but it takes patience and capability to extinguish it. We must maintain that strength," he said. Thapa identified corruption as the primary root of the widespread disappointment seen across the nation.
"If you ask citizens who Nepal's biggest enemy is, they will say corruption. A transformed Nepali Congress has emerged as the greatest warrior against corruption," he claimed.
He further added, "Every leader, from top to bottom, has come forward with a resolve. Just as we pulled Nepal out of the quagmire of violence in the past, we will now pull it out of the quagmire of corruption."
