The Nagarik Unmukti Party Nepal has been registered with the Election Commission.
Kabir Sob serves as the party's chairman, while Resham Chaudhary is the patron.
Talking to Setopati, patron Chaudhary confirmed that the Nagarik Unmukti Party Nepal has been registered with the Election Commission and that the registration certificate has also been received.
"Kabir Sob from the Gen Z generation is the chairman, I am the patron, and there is a 45-member central committee," he said.
The 25-year-old Sob is a graduate and hails from Tikapur Municipality Ward No. 1. He was not active in politics before.
According to patron Chaudhary, the NUP Nepal’s party office is located at Sinamangal in Kathmandu.
The swearing-in and training for central committee members will take place at the same office on November 21 and 22.
Training will also be provided to 150 central members who came from the Nagarik Unmukti Party's general convention but have not been updated, Chaudhary said.
Resham was previously the patron of the Nagarik Unmukti Party, whose current chairperson is Ranjita Shrestha. After leaving the NUP, Chaudhary registered the Nagarik Unmukti Party Nepal under Sob's leadership.
While submitting the application for party registration, a grinding mill was proposed as the election symbol.
