Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) President Rabi Lamichhane has departed for India.
Lamichhane, accompanied by his wife Nikita, RSP Joint General Secretary Bipin Acharya, and secretariat members Deepak Bohara and Pradeep Acharya, left for India on Monday.
The RSP announced the visit through a statement issued on Sunday night. The delegation led by Lamichhane will remain in India from June 1 to June 5.
According to the statement issued by party spokesperson Manish Jha, Lamichhane is set to hold high-level political and diplomatic meetings in New Delhi.
Lamichhane is also scheduled to hold discussions with top leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and meet members of the Nepali community and party well-wishers residing in India.
The visit also includes a personal trip to Ayodhya.
The statement noted that the Nepali Embassy in New Delhi has been coordinating and assisting with arrangements for Lamichhane’s high-level engagements.
The BJP officially announced the visit shortly before the ruling RSP released its own statement.
According to the BJP’s statement, the RSP delegation is scheduled to meet BJP President Nitin Nabin and other senior party leaders during the trip.
