Dhawal Shumsher Rana, who recently left the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), and Durga Prasai, who spearheads the Rastra, Rastriyata, Dharma, Sanskriti Tatha Nagarik Bachau Maha Abhiyan, have reached an agreement to establish a new political party.
On Thursday, 186 leaders and workers, including Rana, collectively resigned from the RPP. On Friday, a formal agreement to form a new party was reached between Rana and Prasai.
"An agreement has been reached between the group led by former lawmaker Dhawal Shamsher Rana and the group led by Durga Prasai to form a political party," the agreement states. "We will announce the new political party by bringing together other political parties, campaigns, organizations, and individuals who share our ideology and principles."
They have said that youth and women will have 60 percent representation in the new political party.
