The hearing on the dissolution of the House of Representatives has been postponed.
The postponement occurred after the Constitutional Bench, which typically convenes on Wednesdays, did not sit following the appointment of Manoj Kumar Sharma as chief justice.
While Sapana Pradhan Malla was serving as the acting chief justice, the Constitutional Bench had been convening regularly on Mondays and Wednesdays.
Twenty writ petitions filed against the dissolution of the House of Representatives that were scheduled for hearing on Wednesday have now been postponed.
Supreme Court spokesperson and Joint Registrar Arjun Prasad Koirala confirmed that the hearing was postponed because the Constitutional Bench did not convene.
It has not yet been disclosed when the next hearing date has been scheduled for.
