The government has decided to remove Nepal Police Inspector General (IGP) Dan Bahadur Karki and appoint Additional Inspector General (AIG) Manoj KC as the new police chief.

A minister told Setopati that a Cabinet meeting held on Wednesday decided to appoint IGP Karki as security adviser to Prime Minister Balen Shah and promote KC to the post of IGP.
