The inquiry commission formed to investigate the incidents that occurred on September 8 and 9 last year has stated that it has recommended action against those found guilty.
Commission spokesperson and member Bigyan Raj Sharma confirmed that recommendations for action have been submitted.
However, he did not disclose who has been recommended for what kind of action.
"We have made a fact-finding effort regarding what occurred on the 8th and 9th, and have provided opinions and recommendations based on evidence. The government has 'owned' the report and will take the necessary action," he said. "Those who committed mistakes will face action; those who did not, will not."
Sharma also stated that there were security lapses on September 8.
“From the very beginning on September 8, security lapses were evident. There were lapses right from the barricades,” he said.
According to Sharma, the comprehensive report spans approximately 8,000 to 10,000 pages. During its investigation, the commission recorded statements from more than 200 individuals and made them sign documents.
