Nepali Congress (NC) has decided to solely focus on the upcoming elections.
A virtual meeting of the Central Working Committee held Sunday passed the grand old party’s election mobilization guidelines.
Point number 21 of the guidelines specifies that members must be deployed within their respective constituencies. The guidelines state that all party members will be active on the ground from February 13 to March 5, following the policy of deploying where position responsibility is under the commitment of "21 days for the March 5 general election."
Furthermore, the guidelines mention that representatives assigned by federal, provincial, district, and constituency levels to specific locations for certain tasks must return to their own districts, constituencies, municipalities, or wards to focus their efforts once those tasks are completed.
The party has also stated that, apart from those assigned responsibilities elsewhere, all party officials and members across all levels must remain concentrated in their respective areas, municipalities, and wards.
"Active members of one ward shall not go to another ward, but shall work in their own wards under the slogan 'We will win our own ward,'" the guidelines specify. "Members affiliated with all fraternal and well-wishing organizations of the party shall fulfill their responsibilities accordingly."
In Sunday’s meeting, NC Vice President Bishwa Prakash Sharma presented the NC House of Representatives election mobilization guidelines, 2026 and the NC public program management guidelines, 2026. Both of them were passed. Vice President Sharma serves as the coordinator of the central election mobilization committee.
