Nepali Congress (NC) is preparing its strategy for the House of Representatives election scheduled for March 5.
An election mobilization committee has been formed under the coordination of NC Vice President Bishwa Prakash Sharma. This committee is drafting the election mobilization guidelines and finalizing the electoral strategy, according to party leaders.
The election mobilization guidelines are being prepared in a manner that requires leaders and members at various levels of NC to be focused solely on the election for one month.
NC is set to mobilize its leaders and cadres in their respective constituencies from February 4 to March 5. This is mentioned in the election mobilization guidelines being prepared by Sharma.
"We will now be election-focused. The guidelines include strategic matters regarding who will be responsible for what and where they will be stationed during the final 30 days of the election," a leader stated.
Vice President Sharma is preparing the guidelines by conducting special internal discussions at the provincial level. Internal programs for different provinces are being held almost daily at the central office in Sanepa. So far, discussions for Karnali and Far West have concluded, while discussions for Gandaki are currently underway.
Leaders noted that the discussions involve current and former office-bearers and members representing the respective provinces at the central level, presidents of district liaison committees, and well-wishers and youth based in Kathmandu.
NC President Gagan Thapa has also instructed leaders and cadres to mobilize in their own electoral constituencies. Referring to instances where leaders and workers were calling him to come to his electoral constituency, Sarlahi-4, Thapa urged everyone to remain mobilized in their respective areas instead.
