The central working committee of the Nepali Congress has proposed a new schedule to hold the party’s regular general convention from May 11 to 14.
Leader Bimalendra Nidhi said that acting party president Purna Bahadur Khadka proposed the new schedule.
The central working committee meeting is still ongoing at the party’s central office in Sanepa, Lalitpur. In the meeting, it has been proposed to begin conventions on April 4.
According to the proposed schedule, ward-level conventions are set for April 4, followed by municipal conventions on April 8.
Provincial assembly constituency-level conventions are proposed for April 11, while district conventions with only one House of Representatives constituency are scheduled for April 15, and district conventions with two or more House of Representatives constituencies for April 18.
The proposal also includes holding provincial conventions from April 23 to 25, and completing the central general convention by May 14.
