Four heads of state and government of the Bay of Bengal Multi-Sectoral Initiative for Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) member states are returning home on Friday. The governments of Bangladesh, Myanmar and India are scheduled to return home today.
Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina is set to return home at 12 pm today. The vehicular movement along Tripureshowr-Maitighar-Baneshowr will remain affected.
Similarly, Prime Minister of Thailand Prayut Chan-o-cha and President of Myanmar Win Myint are also returning home today. Thai PM Chan-o-cha is set to return at 4 pm today.
Likewise, President of Myanmar Win Myint is returning home at 4:30 pm. The route from Soaltee Hotel-New Baneshwor- Tribhuwan International Airport will be closed for vehicles.
Indian PM Narendra Modi will visit Pashupatinath Temple before flying to New Delhi. He is set to inaugurate dharamashala in Pashupatinath Temple. PM Modi is also scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli. During the meeting, the PM duo will sign an agreement to construct the Kathmandu-Raxaul railway. The route from Gaushala-Mitrapark-Old Baneshowr will be affected on his visit to Pashupatinath.
Sri Lankan President Maitripala Sirisena will return home on Sunday. He is scheduled to visit Lumbini on Saturday. He will hold a meeting with President Bidhya Devi Bhandari and PM Oli after returning from Lumbini. Sri Lanka will take over the BIMSTEC Chair with the wrapping up of the Fourth Summit on Friday.
Chief Advisor to the Interim Government of Bhutan and Chief Justice Dasho Tshering Wangchuk is returning home on Saturday morning.
