Nepali Congress incorporates Gen Z movement into party statute preamble

The Nepali Congress has incorporated the Gen Z movement into its amended party statute.

The Gen Z movement took place on September 8-9, 2025.

The party included references to the movement in the statute it amended during its special general convention held in January.

"Taking into account the aspirations for good governance, a corruption-free state structure, youth representation, and change that manifested in the uprising called by the youth of Nepal on September 8 and 9, 2025..." the preamble of the statute.

The revised statute also mentions major political developments since the founding of the Nepali Congress.

The Nepali Congress will hold its 15th general convention under this revised statute.
