Eight more in Udayapur test positive

Eight more persons who had come into contact with the 13 infected persons of a mosque in Bhulke, Udayapur have tested positive for COVID-19.

PCR test at the Koshi Hospital in Biratnagar has showed eight more persons to be positive. The samples have been sent to the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan for confirmation.

Twelve of the 16 persons in the mosque had tested positive on Friday. One more tested positive later. Swabs of 69 persons from the area were then sent to Koshi Hospital. Eight of those persons have tested positive.

The 13 infected persons from the mosque are all being treated at the Koshi Hospital.
