The committee was established to conduct new elections after drafting the necessary election procedure and guidelines, as stipulated in the working procedure passed by the special general convention on Monday.
The special general convention, originally scheduled for Sunday and Monday, has been extended as it has now formally moved forward with the leadership selection process.
During Monday’s closed session, General Secretaries Gagan Thapa and Bishwa Prakash Sharma presented their contemporary political and organizational reports. Discussions on these reports began on Monday by forming nine groups. These groups are currently presenting their conclusions to the closed session.
Monday's session concluded while discussions on the reports were still ongoing.
According to leader Manoj Mani Acharya, the team leaders of the nine groups will table their respective conclusions during Tuesday's session. Following this, the leadership selection process will commence.
