Sudan Gurung, the founder of Hami Nepal, has announced that he will contest the upcoming House of Representatives election from Gorkha Constituency No. 1.
He made a formal announcement on Friday through social media.
“I would like to formally announce my candidacy for the upcoming House of Representatives election from Gorkha Constituency No. 1. The beginning of change from my own village, my own soil. New force, new face, new Nepal,” he wrote.
Gurung has not specified which party he will contest the election from. However, he recently played a key role in efforts to forge unity among Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balen Shah, Kulman Ghising, and the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP).
