The second special general convention of the Nepali Congress has been extended until Tuesday.
The closed session was extended by a day as discussions on the reports presented by the two general secretaries failed to reach a conclusion on Monday.
Madhav Prasad Chamlagain, member-secretary of the special general convention publicity subcommittee, confirmed that the special general convention has been extended.
He said that the leadership selection process will also begin on Tuesday.
“Intensive discussions are ongoing on the reports presented by General Secretaries Gagan Thapa and Bishwa Prakash Sharma,” he said. “This process will continue on Tuesday as well. The leadership selection process will move forward only after that.”
