Anil Kumar Jha, who resigned from his position as a senior leader of the Loktantrik Samajwadi Party Nepal (LSP), has revived the Nepal Sadbhawana Party.
LSP Chairman Mahantha Thakur recently accepted Jha's resignation from the positions of senior leader and ordinary member of the party.
After leaving LSP, Jha has revived his former party, the Nepal Sadbhawana Party, and also submitted an application to the Election Commission to update its status.
Jha previously served as the chairman of the Nepal Sadbhawana Party. He had merged the party into the Rastriya Janata Party (RJP), but the RJP did not last long. He then joined the LSP.
Having been inactive in the LSP recently, Jha has now left the party and revived the Nepal Sadbhawana Party.
Jha told Setopati that the Election Commission has already decided to update the Nepal Sadbhawana Party under his leadership.
"I left the LSP and returned to my mother party, the Nepal Sadbhawana Party. The Election Commission decided on Tuesday to update the Nepal Sadbhawana Party under my leadership. One of our party members is going to collect the letter today. We will provide further details through a press conference," he said.
The Nepal Sadbhawana Party has Jha as its chairman and a 91-member central committee. "All office-bearers and the central committee have been updated under my chairmanship," he said. "I was the chairman of the Sadbhawana Party before as well. It was merged into the RJP, but that didn’t last long. Other leaders also returned to the mother party, and I have returned to it as well."
He said that the party’s flag and election symbol remain the same. "The flag and election symbol are those of the Nepal Sadbhawana Party," he said. The election symbol of the Nepal Sadbhawana Party is a hand with five fingers extended.
