The traffic police is to mobilize additional special force to prevent the occurrence of violence against women in public vehicles.
Since last year, the metropolitan traffic police has mobilized a special security team targeting major traffic routes and 243 people were arrested for the offense in this period.
Speaking at a program jointly organized by the Kavya School – Police Coordination Committee, Metropolitan Police Circle New Baneshowr and Baneshowr Community Police Service Center, Metropolitan Police Office, Ranipokhari chief, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Shailesh Thapa Chhetri shared the plan of additional mobilization of police along such routes.
Similarly, the latest rise in cyber crime due to social networking sites has prompted the establishment of the 'Cyber Bureau' under the leadership of Deputy Inspector General of Police. The presence of Bureau has turned effective to combat the crime, it is said.
Lately, the involvement of adolescents and youths is higher in the cyber crime. Parents have been advised to keep young children far from the social networking sites.
On the occasion, Kavya School principal Nawaraj Baskota received the letter of appreciation. New Baneshowr Police Circle chief Deputy Superintendent of Police, Govinda Raj Kafle, was of the view that community should be aware of cyber crime, drug abuse, and road safety issues.
Lately, the police has implemented the Community Police Partnership Program for peace and security and basic safety of children.
