The State Affairs and Good Governance Committee of the House of Representatives has passed the report on the National Cadet Corps Bill, 2026.
The committee’s meeting held on Thursday approved the report.
The committee had also formed a subcommittee to prepare a report on the bill.
Committee Chairman Hari Dhakal said that the report prepared by the subcommittee was unanimously endorsed.
He said that the committee’s report would be tabled at the House of Representatives meeting scheduled for Thursday.
Dhakal instructed the committee secretary to finalize the report.
The committee has also changed the membership of the subcommittee formed on August 20 to study the National Cadet Corps Bill.
The committee replaced Deepak Raj Bohara with Gazala Shamim Mikrani, with the new assignment taking effect from September 7.
The committee said that the change in responsibility was made in accordance with Section 5(3) of the State Affairs and Good Governance Committee Procedure, 2026.
