PM Shah holds talks with ADB President Kanda

Kathmandu, July 7

Prime Minister Balen Shah has held a bilateral meeting with Asian Development Bank (ADB) President Masato Kanda.

The meeting took place at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers.

Since being elected prime minister on March 27, Shah had not held a bilateral meeting with any foreign representative or diplomat.

By meeting with Kanda, Shah appears to have signaled that economic and development diplomacy is among his top priorities.

Earlier, Kanda also met with Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle on Monday.
