Chief Minister of Lumbini province Chet Narayan Acharya has reshuffled the provincial Cabinet and assigned new ministerial portfolios.
Chief Minister Acharya recommended the reconstitution of the Council of Ministers to the province chief in accordance with Article 168(9) of the Constitution of Nepal.
The reshuffled Cabinet includes five new ministers.
Four ministers have been appointed from the CPN-UML and one from the Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP), with their respective portfolios also assigned.
Under the reshuffled Cabinet, Tulsi Prasad Chaudhary of the UML has been appointed minister for agriculture, land management and cooperatives, while Ramji Prasad Ghimire has been appointed minister for health.
Similarly, Ratna Bahadur Khatri has been appointed minister for physical infrastructure development, while Dilli Raj Bhusal has been appointed minister for energy, water resources and irrigation.
Bhandari Lal Ahir of the JSP has been appointed minister for internal affairs and law. He replaces fellow party member Adesh Kumar Agrawal in the role.
The swearing-in ceremony for the newly appointed ministers has been scheduled for Monday, June 8.
