The Rastriya Sadbhawana Party has merged with the Nepali Congress.
Anil Kumar Jha had previously reconstituted the Rastriya Sadbhawana Party after leaving the Loktantrik Samajbadi Party.
On Sunday, Jha merged that party into the Nepali Congress. Jha had also contested the election held on March 5 using the “tree” election symbol of the Nepali Congress.
At an event held on Sunday at the Nepali Congress central office in Sanepa, party President Gagan Thapa welcomed the leaders of the Rastriya Sadbhawana Party into the party.
According to Nepali Congress central member Ajay Babu Shiwakoti, party President Thapa and Rastriya Sadbhawana Party Chairman Nripendra Kumar Singh signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the two parties.
Additionally, NC President Thapa nominated leader Anil Jha as a central member.
To facilitate the integration of leaders and cadres from various levels of the Rastriya Sadbhawana Party into the Nepali Congress, a task force consisting of NC leader Arjun Narsingh KC and Anil Kumar Jha has been assigned the responsibility to submit a report within two weeks.
