Nepali Congress picks Basana Thapa as chief whip, Nishkal Rai as whip

Lawmaker Basana Thapa has been appointed as the chief whip of the Nepali Congress.

Parliamentary party leader Bhishma Raj Angdembe nominated Thapa to the post on Wednesday.

Thapa was elected to the House of Representatives from Dailekh Constituency No. 1.

Similarly, Angdembe appointed lawmaker Nishkal Rai as the party whip.

Rai was elected from Ilam Constituency No. 1.
