UML unanimously recommends Bishnu Paudel as candidate from Rupandehi-2

CPN-UML Vice-chairman Bishnu Paudel has been recommended as the party’s candidate from Rupandehi Constituency No. 2.

A meeting of the House of Representatives constituency coordination committee held on Sunday unanimously recommended Paudel as the sole candidate.

Min Prasad Paudel, chief of the UML Rupandehi publicity department, said that Vice-chairman Paudel’s name was recommended unanimously as the party’s candidate from the constituency.

The House of Representatives election is scheduled for March 5.

Paudel has been consistently contesting elections from this constituency since 1999.

In the 1999 election, he was defeated by Surya Prasad Pradhan of the Nepali Congress. However, Paudel went on to win the 2008 and 2013 Constituent Assembly elections, as well as the 2017 and 2022 House of Representatives elections.
