UML moves Supreme Court demanding House reinstatement

The CPN-UML has filed a writ petition in the Supreme Court demanding the reinstatement of the House of Representatives.

On Tuesday, leaders including outgoing chief whip Mahesh Bartaula submitted the writ petition to the court seeking the reinstatement of the House.

"We have filed a writ petition demanding the reinstatement of the House of Representatives," Bartaula told Setopati. "The writ is still under review. The registration process will likely move forward by this evening."

Also on Tuesday, the UML submitted an application for party registration to the Election Commission for the House of Representatives election scheduled for March 5.
