Bamdev Gautam has become the third-ranked leader of the CPN (Unified Socialist).
According to Prakash Jwala, deputy general secretary and spokesperson of the Unified Socialist, the party’s secretariat meeting held on Friday decided to nominate Gautam along with 12 other leaders to the central committee.
DB Karki, who merged into the Unified Socialist from the Unity National Campaign, has been nominated as a politburo member.
Gautam’s wife Tulasi Thapa and Loknath Dhamala have also been made politburo members.
Bhagawati Bista, Durga Datta Bhandari, Radheshyam Gupta, Iman Singh Bhandari, Rabindra Bam, Tofa Yadav, Bidya Prasad Sharma, Ram Prasad Adhikari, and Mohammad Sher Bagwan have been nominated as central members.
The Unified Socialist's secretariat meeting is still ongoing.
