The Election Commission has published the schedule for the by-election in Rupandehi-3.
The commission released the schedule on Sunday for the by-election, set to be held on November 3.
According to the schedule, registration of candidacies is set for October 7 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The preliminary list of candidates will be published on the same day between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m., as per the commission.
The time for filing complaints against the candidate list is designated for October 8 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. According to the published schedule, the nomination papers and complaints will be reviewed and decided upon between 3 p.m. on October 8 and 5 p.m. on October 9, and the final candidate list will be published between 5 p.m. and 11 p.m. on October 9.
The withdrawal of candidacies is scheduled for October 10 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The commission will publish the final list of candidates on the same day between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
Election symbols will be provided to candidates by 6 p.m. on the same day.
Voting in the by-election will take place on November 3 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
In the 2022 general election, Deepak Bohara of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party was elected from Rupandehi-3. The by-election is being held as the seat has fallen vacant after his demise.
