Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that the delay in appointing the governor of Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) is caused by internal issues within the central bank itself.
Speaking at an event organized by the economic policy and planning department at the party's central office in Sanepa on Tuesday, Deuba clarified that the delay in the governor's appointment stems from issues within NRB rather than political reasons.
"There are currently no political issues regarding the governor's appointment. Even Oliji is positive. The problem lies within Rastra Bank itself," Deuba said.
He said that it is everyone’s duty to work for the betterment of the nation rather than the party.
Claiming that the NC has achieved victory in liberalizing the country’s economic sector, Deuba stressed the need to prioritize national interests over partisan ones.
He also said that Parliament has passed five bills to facilitate investments in the private sector, adding that the upcoming budget will be designed to facilitate investments.
