Indian Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi has stated India's history, faith and belief are incomplete without India.
Addressing the civic reception organized in his honor by Janakpur Sub Metropolitan City at Barhabigaha, Janakpur on Friday, Modi stressed that every sector in India is incomplete without Nepal. "India's faith is incomplete, belief incomplete and history incomplete without Nepal," he said. "India's pilgrimage sites are incomplete and even Ram is incomplete without Nepal."

Modi spoke in Maithili for some time during his address and also resorted to Nepali language to tell the Nepalis that he is in Nepal as a prime pilgrim and not a prime minister.

He even quoted a stanza of Ramcharitramanas about friendship to stress on the friendship between Nepal and India. He said bilateral relationship between the two countries is guided by divine police (devniti) and not politics or diplomacy.

Reminding the people about his promise to soon visit Janakpur during his first visit to Nepal as a PM in August 2014, he apologized for taking so long to visit Janakpur.

Reiterating
India's commitment to help Nepal for ‘HIT’ (highways, information technology and transmission lines) he had expressed first during the visit in 2014, he prescribed 5T (tradition, tourism, trade, technology and transport) for development of both the countries this time.
