The Judicial Council has recommended the appointment of three judges to high courts.
A meeting of the council held on Tuesday recommended the appointment of three judges to high courts and one judge to a district court, while also recommending the transfers of judges serving in those courts.
The council recommended Supreme Court Registrar Bhadrakali Pokharel, Director General of the Verdict Implementation Directorate Gajendra Bahadur Singh, and district judge Himal Belbase for appointment as high court judges.
According to the council, Pokharel was recommended for posting at the Surkhet High Court, Singh at the Biratnagar High Court, and Belbase at the Janakpur High Court.
The council also recommended the appointment of Bharat Kumar Dahal, a Supreme Court bench officer, as a district court judge, with a posting at the Kailali District Court.
Similarly, the council recommended the transfer of three high court judges and the deputation of four judges.
According to the council, Tuesday’s meeting also decided to transfer 15 district court judges.
