Army arrests 27 vandals, recovers 31 firearms

The Nepali Army has taken 27 people into custody.

The Directorate of Public Relations and Information announced that 27 individuals were arrested suspicion of involvement in looting, arson, and vandalism by 10 Wednesday morning.

Police recovered 31 firearms from the suspects, with 23 found in Kathmandu and eight in Pokhara.

The army also reported that three fire engines are being used to control the arson.

Additionally, Rs 3.37 million has been recovered from individuals involved in looting in the Gaushala-Chabahil-Bouddha area of Kathmandu.

The army further stated that 23 injured Nepal Police personnel and three civilians are being treated at military hospitals.
