Preparations for Bhai Tika have begun at the Balgopaleshwar Temple in Rani Pokhari, Kathmandu, as the Tihar festival approaches.
The temple, which is opened to the public only once a year on the occasion of Bhai Tika, is currently undergoing painting and cleaning work.
The cleaning, decoration, and management works in the temple premises are being carried out to make it convenient for devotees who come to visit and worship on the day of Bhai Tika.
According to tradition, people who do not have brothers or sisters visit the Balgopaleshwar Temple on Bhai Tika to offer prayers and receive tika.
To preserve this religious and cultural tradition, the temple is opened to the public every year on the occasion of Bhai Tika.
A large number of devotees visit the temple to offer prayers and receive tika on that day. Preparations are therefore underway to make the temple premises more attractive and ensure proper arrangements for visitors.
