Daily infections crossed 1,000 for the first time in Nepal with 1,016 persons testing positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday.
Health Ministry Spokesperson Dr Jageshwore Gautam said during the daily press briefing that the total number of cases now has increased to 28,257. Similarly, 85 persons have recovered in the past 24 hours taking the total to 17,580.
The government has conducted over 13,439 PCR tests in the past 24 hours to take the total number of tests across the country until now to 542,866.
The death toll of COVID-19 in Nepal has increased by seven in the past 24 hours to reach 114.
