Eight people, including foreign nationals, have been rescued from the Nyakphedi cliff in Sirdibas, Chumanubri Rural Municipality-3 in Gorkha district.
Following flooding in the Budhi Gandaki River on Sunday morning, local residents and others staying in Nyakphedi had moved to the cliff for safety.
Nepal Army spokesperson and Brigadier General Raja Ram Basnet confirmed that five foreign nationals and three Nepali citizens were rescued.
They were airlifted by helicopter to Philim.
The Nepal Army has so far rescued 49 people through various means. The Army said that preparations were underway to bring the foreign nationals to Kathmandu on Sunday.
