Death toll of Sindhupalchowk landslide rises to 11, 27 still missing

The death toll of landslide at Lidi in Jugal rural municipality 2 of Sindhupalchowk Friday morning has reached 11.

Eleven bodies have been recovered from under the rubble while 27 persons are still missing, according to DSP with Sindhupalchowk Police Madhav Kafle. "Search is on for the missing persons," DSP Kafle said

Ward Chairman Pratap Lama told Setopati that five injured persons have sent to hospitals on army helicopter. He revealed that four have been sent to the Chautara Hospital and one to the Trauma Center of Kathmandu.

The dead persons have yet to be identified while the injured persons include two men, two women and a kid.

Police, army and locals have been deployed in search of missing persons.
