Four persons have died and 34 suspected missing following landslide at Lidi in Jugal rural municipality 2 of Sindhupalchowk Friday morning.
Four bodies have been recovered and five persons rescued until now, according to Sridhar Neupane, press coordinator to Speaker Agni Sapkota who has already reached the village to take stock of situation. A total of 37 houses have been buried.
"Five persons have been rescued and sent to hospitals on army helicopter," Ward Chairman Pratap Lama told Setopati. He revealed that four have been sent to the Chautara Hospital and one to the Trauma Center of Kathmandu.
The dead persons have yet to be identified while the rescued persons include two men, two women and a kid, according to DSP with Sindhupalchowk Police Madhav Kafle.
Thirty-four persons are still suspected to be buried under the rubble. "Our list has names of 35 persons still buried," Lama added.
Police, army and locals have been deployed in rescue works.
