The Syafrubesi-Timure road in Rasuwa has been completely disrupted after a flood in the Lhende River along the Nepal-China border on the morning of July 8.
Landslides at various points have made it difficult not only for vehicles to operate but also for pedestrians to travel.
The flood washed away the road in Lingling, Gosaikunda Rural Municipality-3, forcing travelers to navigate the area at great risk.
Although the Nepal Army, Nepal Police, and Armed Police Force have been working to clear the road at various points, it is not clear when the road will be open for vehicular traffic.
With the main road connecting Nepal and China obstructed, hundreds of cargo vehicles heading to the Kathmandu Valley are stranded in Timure.
