One person has died and 36 suspected missing following landslide at Lidi in Jugal rural municipality 2 of Sindhupalchowk Friday morning.
"One body has been recovered and five have been rescued and sent to hospitals on army helicopter," Ward Chairman Pratap Lama told Setopati. He revealed that four have been sent to the Chautara Hospital and one to the Trauma Center of Kathmandu.
The dead has yet to be identified while the rescued persons include two men, two women and a kid, according to DSP with Sindhupalchowk Police Madhav Kafle.
Thirty-six persons are still suspected to be buried under the rubble. "Our list has names of 36 persons buried," Lama added.
Police, army and locals have been deployed in rescue works.
Speaker Agni Sapkota, meanwhile, has reached the village to take stock of situation.
