Hotels closed since the start of nationwide lockdown in March will open across the country from Thursday.
They will be opened as per the government decision to allow hotels and restaurants to operate after meeting the set standards from July 30.
Hoteliers and workers had reached an agreement recently about perks and benefits during the lockdown period.
The hotels, however, will not operate in full capacity. Entrepreneurs say they will gradually be reopened in line with the demand of customers. Star hotels have already said they will be closed until December stating that there will no tourist arrival. But entrepreneurs say even the star hotels can be reopened in limited capacity should demand rise.
Restaurants have already reopened. The government had allowed reopening of restaurants in limited capacity complying with safety measures but restaurants have not complied with those measures.
