A 65-year-old man from Bungal municipality of Bajhang has died of COVID-19.
Health Ministry Spokesperson Dr Jageshwore Gautam said during the regular press briefing on Tuesday that the man, who died at his home on July 24, has posthumously tested positive.
The man, who suffered from asthma had returned from Bangalore, India on July 8. He had gone to his home after staying at a quarantine facility for 14 days. He died at his home four days ago.
This is the 49th COVID-19 death reported in Nepal.
