The Home Ministry has again instructed administration offices in all 77 districts to take action against anyone going out of the house without a mask.
Communication Officer with the ministry Umakanta Adhikari said the instruction has been reissued as people have started to get outside the house without donning a mask even as risk for COVID-19 remains. He said those defying the instruction will be punished as per the Infectious Disease Act 1964.
The Home Ministry on July 6 had instructed the Nepal Police headquarters to arrest anyone going out of the house without a mask even before the nationwide lockdown was lifted.
The rule was followed for a while but it has been violated in recent times especially after the lockdown was lifted effective from Tuesday midnight.
