Two men including an Indian national have been arrested on charge of throwing acid at the 22-year-old woman in Sitapaila, Kathmandu Thursday evening.
Mohammad Alam of Laxmipur, Rautahat currently staying in Dallu, Kathmandu and Indian national Munna Mohammad have been nabbed on charge of throwing acid at Pabitra Karki of Okhaldhunga at Srijanshil Tole of Nagarjun municipality at around 7:45 Thursday evening.
The Metropolitan Police Office, Ranipokhari and the Metropolitan Police Crime Division had deployed teams immediately after the incident to nab the culprits. The police arrested the duo on the basis of CCTV footage.
SSP with the Metropolitan Police Crime Division Dipak Thapa told Setopati that they threw acid used in cleaning toilets as Karki liked another man. "The Indian national works for Alam who had asked to pour acid as the girl liked another man," Thapa added.
Hand of the Indian national has also been burnt due to acid.
