The Narayani river has crossed the danger level in Chitwan following incessant rainfall.
Chief District Officer (CDO) of Chitwan Narayan Prasad Bhattarai told Setopati that the river has crossed the danger level at Devghat and Pulchowk, and people in the settlements near the river banks have been informed to remain safe.
"The danger level for Narayani at Devghat is eight meters. It has already crossed nine meters," CDO Bhattarai stated. "The danger level of 12 meters at Pulchowk has also been crossed."
He revealed that the water level has crossed the danger mark since Monday afternoon.
