Fifteen persons have been killed and dozens are injured and missing due to floods and landslides following rainfall since Thursday.
Three persons have died and 12 are missing after landslides in Dhaulagiri and Malika rural municipalities in Myagdi district, according to the National Emergency Operation Center under the Home Ministry.
Three members of a family in Satbise of Besisahar municipality 7 in Lamjung died when their house was swept away by landslide Thursday night.
Seven persons have been killed and 12 injured due to landslides at different places in Kaski.
Similarly, two persons have been killed and one injured in landslide in Aathbiskot-3 of West Rukum.
Landslides have obstructed roads at different places while water level has been rising at different rivers in the plains.
The incessant rainfall that started from Thursday due to the western low pressure system will continue till Monday, according to Meteorological Forecasting Division.
(The death toll has been corrected as it erroeously included even the fatalities of landslides in Parbat on June 14 and the toll in Myagdi was overstated. The error is regretted)
