204 test positive on Tuesday, no active cases in four districts

Kathmandu, July 7

A total number of 204 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

The total number of cases now has increased to 16,168, according to the Health Ministry. The government conducted 6,133 PCR tests during the period. A total of 261,861 PCR tests have been done across the country until now.

There are no active cases in four districts. "COVID-19 was seen in all 77 districts but there are no active cases in Tehrathum, Bhojpur and Solukhumbu of Province 1 and Humla of Karnali," Home Ministry Spokesperson Dr Jageshwore Gautam said.

Meanwhile, 688 persons returned home after recovery in the past 24 hours. The ministry said 8,634 patients are in isolation ward while 7,499 have recovered.

A total of 35 persons have succumbed to the virus until now.
